Who you are


As a Shift Lead for Better Blend, you are responsible for delegating tasks to your team and keeping the workflow of the shift running smoothly. You take pride in your organizational skills and have an innate ability to think ahead and anticipate any problems that may occur. You are a natural leader who leads by example and sets the standard for your team. You ensure that all blenders are trained on new processes and company standards, and provide constructive feedback on areas they can improve. You have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to communicate with customers and staff effectively. You stay up-to-date on all company standards, policies, and procedures and ensure that all blenders are knowledgeable on the nutrition facts and ingredients of our products.



What you’ll do


  • You will be willing and able to fulfill the job responsibilities of a Blender along with the following Shift Lead responsibilities.
  • Assist GM and AGM with assigning duties to blenders throughout the shift, including filling, cleaning, stocking things, etc…. In the event an AGM or GM is not present, assigning these duties with minimal direction or without direction at all.
  • Train and educate all new blenders who are hired onto the team.
  • Train any current team members/blenders on new processes that the AGM and GM have implemented to Educate all blenders on company standards, and ensure that company standards are met while you are present.
  • Ensure that staff are engaging with customers consistently.
  •  Provide feedback to Blenders on things they can improve on, with constructive feedback and provide examples of things they can do to help them improve.
  • Hear and see any Employee/Blenders questions or comments, and provide feedback or escalate to an AGM/GM if needed.
  • Provide a safe environment for all staff to feel welcomed and able to ask any questions that are needed.
  • Provide feedback to the AGM and GM regarding employee progress, any suggestions on how they can improve, any areas you see them excelling in.
  • Managing customer complaints as they come in and escalating to an AGM/GM accordingly.
  • Ensure that you are up-to-date on all company standards, policies and procedures to be able to provide your team with the information needed.
  • Ensuring that you are knowledgeable on the nutrition facts and ingredient benefits in order to be able to provide customers and staff with accurate information.
  • Ensure that employees are on time if an AGM/GM is not present, and escalate any tardiness issues to an AGM/GM.

AGM Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team and help ensure the success of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess opening, closing, and cash management skills and have the ability to provide an excellent customer experience. They should also be capable of effectively managing our business operations and meeting the needs of the business, our guests, and our team.

As an Assistant Manager at Better Blend, you're a leader who puts the needs of others above your own. You have a genuine passion for customer service and thrive in a restaurant setting. You have the ability to motivate and guide your employees, encouraging them to reach their full potential. You demonstrate sound judgement and an acute problem-solving capability, and you are a self-starter who pays careful attention to details. You are simply amazing!


What you’ll do


You will be willing and able to fulfill the job responsibilities of a Blender and Shift Lead, along with the following AGM responsibilities.

• Co-lead daily operations to guarantee a successful shift and give customers an outstanding experience.

• Hold Team Members accountable to company policies, procedures, culture, and brand standards. 

• Understand business goals and ensure Team Members have the resources necessary to achieve them.

• Complete required assessments and coach team members based on assessment results.

• Oversee training of team members, stay up-to-date on progress, and relay training needs across the department. 

• Help to identify, recruit, and onboard qualified Blenders and Shift Leaders into the Better Blend team, including conducting interviews and orientations.

• This role is a 100% operational role, with the flexibility required to arrive early or stay late to fulfill job duties.



What we’re looking for


  • 1+ years of restaurant management experience
  • Hospitality mindset with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.

General Manager Responsibilities

The Better Blend Manager has the responsibility for directing the daily operations of a quick service restaurant, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operations, including production, preparation, customer relations, restaurant maintenance, inventory management, team management, recruiting, ensuring the highest quality products and services are delivered to our customers and other duties as required.

  • Meet regularly with the Operator and Leadership Team for training/personal development and to execute the overall vision.

What we’re looking for

  • Prior experience as a restaurant general manager, catering manager, operations manager, supervisor, shift lead, and Restaurant Assistant Manager is very helpful to your success at this job.
